Job Summary

Masai School is seeking a motivated and technically strong Teaching Assistant (TA) specializing in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning to support our immersive learning programs. The ideal candidate will work closely with instructors and learners to deliver high-quality educational experiences, provide technical guidance, and help students successfully complete hands-on projects. This role is perfect for individuals passionate about mentoring, problem-solving, and shaping the next generation of AI/ML professionals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist lead instructors in delivering AI and Machine Learning curriculum effectively.

  • Provide one-on-one and group support to students during live sessions, labs, and doubt-clearing hours.

  • Review and provide constructive feedback on assignments, projects, and assessments.

  • Help troubleshoot coding issues related to Python, ML frameworks, and data workflows.

  • Monitor student progress and proactively identify learners who need additional support.

  • Contribute to improving course materials, documentation, and learning resources.

  • Facilitate discussion forums, Slack/Discord channels, and community engagement.

  • Support evaluation processes and maintain accurate academic records.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong foundation in Python programming.

  • Solid understanding of Machine Learning concepts (supervised/unsupervised learning, model evaluation, etc.).

  • Familiarity with libraries such as NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn, and either TensorFlow or PyTorch.

  • Good knowledge of statistics, data preprocessing, and feature engineering.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to explain complex technical concepts in a simple, learner-friendly manner.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience).

Experience

  • 0–2 years of experience in AI/ML, data science, or technical mentoring (freshers with strong projects are encouraged).

  • Prior experience as a Teaching Assistant, mentor, tutor, or coding instructor is a plus.

  • Hands-on experience with real-world ML projects or internships preferred.

Working Hours

  • Full-time or part-time (as per program requirements).

  • Availability during evening or weekend live sessions may be required.

  • Remote/Hybrid flexibility depending on batch allocation and institutional needs.
