Job Summary

Learn2Read is seeking a passionate and engaging Pre-Primary Phonics Teacher (Virtual) to deliver high-quality, interactive phonics instruction to young learners in an online environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of early childhood literacy development and the ability to create fun, structured, and effective virtual lessons that build foundational reading skills. This role requires patience, creativity, and a child-centered teaching approach.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver engaging virtual phonics lessons for pre-primary learners.

  • Use age-appropriate teaching strategies to build letter recognition, sounds, blending, and early reading skills.

  • Create interactive learning experiences using digital tools, games, and visual aids.

  • Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to parents/guardians.

  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments, and lesson outcomes.

  • Foster a positive, encouraging, and inclusive online classroom environment.

  • Collaborate with the curriculum team to align lessons with program standards.

  • Adapt teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs and styles.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, English, Education, or related field (preferred).

  • Strong knowledge of phonics instruction methods (e.g., synthetic phonics).

  • Excellent verbal communication and child engagement skills.

  • Proficiency in using virtual teaching platforms (Zoom, Google Meet, etc.).

  • Ability to manage young learners effectively in an online setting.

  • Clear, neutral English pronunciation.

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Experience

  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience teaching phonics or early literacy to pre-primary or kindergarten students.

  • Prior online teaching experience is highly preferred.

  • Experience working with ESL learners is an advantage.

Working Hours

  • Fully remote (work-from-home).

  • Flexible scheduling with peak hours typically aligned to student time zones.

  • Part-time and full-time opportunities may be available.

  • Must be available for regular weekly teaching slots.
