Job Summary

InfoTech Solutions is seeking a highly analytical and innovative Biotech Data Scientist to support advanced genomic research initiatives in a fully remote environment. Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze large-scale genomic, transcriptomic, and proteomic datasets to identify patterns and biological insights.

  • Develop and implement machine learning and statistical models for genomic research and predictive biology.

  • Design scalable data pipelines and workflows for processing high-throughput sequencing data.

  • Collaborate with bioinformaticians, laboratory scientists, and research teams to translate data findings into actionable biological insights.

  • Perform data cleaning, transformation, and feature engineering for biological datasets.

  • Visualize complex genomic data and present findings to scientific and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Support research initiatives related to precision medicine, genetic analysis, and disease modeling.

  • Maintain high standards for data quality, reproducibility, and scientific rigor.

  • Contribute to technical documentation, research reports, and potential scientific publications.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Data Science, Biotechnology, or a related field.

  • Strong programming skills in Python, R, or similar data science languages.

  • Experience working with genomic datasets such as DNA sequencing, RNA-seq, or variant analysis.

  • Knowledge of machine learning frameworks and statistical modeling techniques.

  • Familiarity with bioinformatics tools and genomic data formats (FASTQ, BAM, VCF).

  • Experience with data visualization tools and libraries.

  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in data science, bioinformatics, or computational biology.

  • Hands-on experience with genomic or biomedical datasets.

  • Experience with cloud computing platforms or high-performance computing environments is a plus.

  • Prior involvement in research projects or biotech industry applications is highly desirable.

Working Hours

  • Fully remote position.

  • Flexible working schedule with coordination across global research teams.

  • Standard workweek: 40 hours, Monday–Friday.

  • Occasional meetings may be scheduled to align with international collaborators.

  • Strong understanding of genomics, molecular biology, and computational analysis techniques.
