Job Summary
Uber India is seeking a highly motivated Content Specialist to join our dynamic team at the Visakhapatnam Centre of Excellence. In this role, you will be responsible for creating, reviewing, and optimizing content to support Uber’s communication channels, including customer support responses, in-app communication, and knowledge base resources. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure all content is clear, user-friendly, and aligned with Uber’s tone and brand guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, edit, and maintain high-quality written content for internal and external communications.
- Collaborate with operations, product, and support teams to create and update process documentation, FAQs, and help center articles.
- Ensure all content is accurate, concise, and consistent with Uber’s brand voice.
- Conduct regular content audits and suggest improvements to enhance clarity and efficiency.
- Track content performance using metrics and implement improvements based on user feedback.
- Support localization and adaptation of content for the Indian market, ensuring cultural relevance.
- Stay updated on Uber policies, features, and customer support trends to maintain content accuracy.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to simplify complex processes.
- Proficiency in content editing, proofreading, and formatting.
- Basic understanding of content management systems (CMS) and digital tools.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Experience
- 1–3 years of experience in content creation, technical writing, or customer support documentation.
- Prior experience in the technology or service industry is a plus.
Working Hours
- Full-time, 5 days a week with rotational shifts.
- Flexibility to work during weekends or holidays, if business requires.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to adapt writing style to different audiences and communication channels.
- Understanding of customer-centric communication practices.
- Familiarity with collaboration tools such as Google Workspace, Jira, or Confluence is an advantage.
