Uber India is seeking a highly motivated and dynamic Team Lead to join our Visakhapatnam Customer Support Centre. As a Team Lead, you will be responsible for supervising and guiding a team of customer support associates to deliver exceptional service to our riders and drivers. This role requires strong leadership skills, the ability to resolve complex customer issues, and a commitment to achieving operational excellence. You will play a pivotal role in managing daily operations, driving team performance, and enhancing the overall customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate, and manage a team of customer support associates to achieve KPIs and service level targets.
- Monitor daily team performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective measures.
- Conduct regular team meetings, coaching sessions, and performance reviews to ensure growth and productivity.
- Handle escalated customer cases, ensuring prompt and satisfactory resolution.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and enhance service delivery.
- Analyze support trends and prepare reports to identify areas for operational improvement.
- Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that encourages teamwork and high morale.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience in team handling or supervisory roles within customer support or operations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with both team members and customers.
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to handle high-pressure situations.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and familiarity with CRM or ticketing tools.
Experience
- Minimum 2–4 years of experience in customer service, with at least 1 year in a team lead or supervisory position.
- Experience in managing high-volume support operations will be an added advantage.
Working Hours
- Full-time role with rotational shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing business requirements and extended working hours when necessary.
