Job Summary
Uber India is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Team Lead to join our Visakhapatnam Operations team. In this role, you will lead and manage a team of operations associates and team leads, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and delivering outstanding support to both riders and drivers. You will be responsible for driving operational excellence, achieving performance targets, implementing process improvements, and maintaining a high standard of service quality. This position is ideal for an experienced professional who excels in team management, operational strategy, and performance optimization.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of associates and team leads to ensure operational excellence.
- Monitor daily workflows and allocate tasks to meet service-level agreements (SLAs).
- Implement and oversee performance metrics to drive productivity and efficiency.
- Identify process bottlenecks and implement solutions for continuous improvement.
- Conduct team performance reviews, coaching sessions, and development planning.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline operations and enhance the rider and driver experience.
- Prepare and present reports on operational performance to senior management.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and local regulations.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
- Proven leadership skills with experience in team management or operations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively lead a diverse team.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical thinking, and decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and data analysis tools.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while handling multiple priorities.
Experience
- 5+ years of experience in operations, customer service, or team leadership roles.
- Previous experience in BPO, customer operations, or tech-based service companies is preferred.
- Experience in managing mid to large-sized teams and meeting KPIs.
Working Hours
- Full-time role with a 40–45 hours per week schedule.
- Flexibility to work in rotational shifts, including weekends or evenings, as per business requirements.
