Job Summary


Uber India is seeking a highly analytical and results-driven Data Scientist Analyst to join our Visakhapatnam Office. In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to analyze large-scale datasets, build predictive models, and provide actionable insights that drive business decisions. You will leverage your expertise in data science, statistics, and machine learning to solve complex operational challenges, enhance customer experience, and optimize Uber’s services in the region.



Key Responsibilities



  • Analyze complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights.

  • Develop and implement statistical models, machine learning algorithms, and predictive analytics solutions.

  • Collaborate with product managers, operations, and engineering teams to translate data findings into business strategies.

  • Conduct A/B testing and performance analysis to measure the impact of data-driven initiatives.

  • Prepare clear and concise reports, dashboards, and visualizations to present data insights to stakeholders.

  • Continuously evaluate emerging data science tools, technologies, and best practices to enhance operational efficiency.

  • Ensure data accuracy, quality, and compliance with company standards and regulations.



Required Skills and Qualifications



  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • Proficiency in Python, R, SQL, and data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.

  • Strong understanding of machine learning techniques, predictive modeling, and statistical analysis.

  • Hands-on experience with big data platforms such as Hadoop, Spark, or Google BigQuery is an advantage.

  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical thinking, and critical reasoning abilities.

  • Strong communication skills to explain complex technical insights to non-technical stakeholders.



Experience



  • 2–4 years of experience in data science, analytics, or a similar role (freshers with exceptional skills may also apply).

  • Experience in working with large-scale datasets in a business or technology environment is preferred.



Working Hours



  • Standard office hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM

  • Flexibility to work extended hours or weekends during critical project timelines.
