SecureMalls Inc. is seeking dedicated and vigilant Hospital Security Staff to ensure a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, and healthcare professionals. This role is vital in maintaining order, preventing security incidents, and protecting hospital property while prioritising patient comfort and confidentiality. Key Responsibilities



  • Monitor hospital premises, including entrances, wards, emergency rooms, and parking areas, to ensure safety and security.

  • Provide a reassuring and professional presence for patients, visitors, and staff.

  • Respond promptly to security incidents, disturbances, and medical emergencies in accordance with hospital protocols.

  • Conduct regular security patrols and surveillance using CCTV systems.

  • Assist in managing visitor access, issuing passes, and controlling entry to restricted areas.

  • Escort patients, staff, or visitors when needed to ensure safety.

  • Support hospital staff in de-escalating potentially aggressive situations.

  • Prepare detailed incident reports for management and law enforcement when required.

  • Ensure compliance with hospital security policies, health and safety regulations, and confidentiality standards.




Required Skills and Qualifications



  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional security or law enforcement training is an advantage.

  • Proven experience in security, preferably in a healthcare or hospital environment.

  • Strong observational skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to remain calm and make quick decisions under pressure.

  • Good verbal and written communication skills.

  • Physically fit and capable of standing or walking for extended periods.

  • Basic knowledge of first aid and emergency response procedures.




Experience



  • Minimum: 1–2 years of security or related experience.

  • Preferred: Experience in hospital or healthcare security.




Working Hours



  • Full-time and part-time positions available.

  • Rotational shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and public holidays.

  • Overtime may be required during emergencies or special hospital events.




Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities



  • Understanding of hospital safety protocols and confidentiality policies (HIPAA or equivalent).

  • Ability to handle stressful situations with professionalism.

  • Knowledge of access control systems, CCTV monitoring, and basic security equipment.

  • Strong interpersonal skills for working with diverse patient populations.
