Job Summary


OneTech Associates is seeking a detail-oriented and highly accurate Medical Transcriptionist to join our growing healthcare documentation team. Key Responsibilities



  • Listen to and accurately transcribe voice recordings from physicians and other healthcare professionals.

  • Edit and proofread transcribed reports for grammar, clarity, and medical terminology accuracy.

  • Ensure all transcripts meet established quality, style, and formatting guidelines.

  • Adhere to HIPAA compliance and maintain strict patient confidentiality.

  • Identify and correct inconsistencies or errors in medical reports.

  • Work closely with healthcare staff to clarify dictations and ensure the accuracy of patient records.

  • Manage workload efficiently to meet deadlines and productivity targets.

  • Stay updated with evolving medical terminology and transcription standards.




Required Skills and Qualifications



  • Proficiency in medical terminology and healthcare documentation standards.

  • Strong listening skills with the ability to interpret varying accents and speech patterns.

  • Exceptional grammar, punctuation, and spelling abilities.

  • Excellent typing speed (minimum 65 WPM) with high accuracy.

  • Proficiency with transcription software, EHR/EMR systems, and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills.




Experience



  • Minimum 1–2 years of medical transcription experience (preferably in multiple medical specialties).

  • Experience with radiology, pathology, or operative reports is a plus.

  • Familiarity with HIPAA regulations is required.




Working Hours



  • Full-time contract-to-hire position.

  • Flexible scheduling options available, but must meet daily turnaround times.

  • Occasional weekend or evening work may be required based on workload.
