OneTech Associates is seeking a detail-oriented and highly accurate Medical Transcriptionist to join our growing remote team. In this role, you will be responsible for listening to medical audio recordings and accurately transcribing them into written documents while ensuring proper medical terminology usage and adherence to confidentiality standards. Key Responsibilities



  • Transcribe audio recordings from healthcare professionals into accurate, grammatically correct written reports.

  • Ensure all transcripts are formatted according to company and client specifications.

  • Review and edit drafts prepared by speech recognition software, correcting errors in spelling, grammar, and medical terminology.

  • Maintain confidentiality of patient health information in compliance with HIPAA and company policies.

  • Research unfamiliar medical terms or procedures to ensure accuracy.

  • Meet deadlines while maintaining a high level of quality and accuracy.

  • Collaborate with supervisors and quality assurance staff to resolve discrepancies.




Required Skills and Qualifications



  • Proficiency in English grammar, spelling, and punctuation.

  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.

  • Ability to type at least 60 words per minute with high accuracy.

  • Excellent listening skills and attention to detail.

  • Proficiency in using transcription software and Microsoft Office tools.

  • Reliable internet connection and personal computer or laptop.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.




Experience



  • Preferred: Minimum of 1 year of experience in medical transcription (hospital, clinical, or specialty-based).

  • Entry-Level Applicants: Will be considered if they have completed a certified medical transcription training program.




Working Hours



  • Flexible scheduling – choose your own working hours based on availability.

  • Part-time or full-time workload available depending on performance and preference.

  • Weekend work is optional but may offer higher pay rates.
