OneTech Associates is seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Medical Transcriptionist to join our remote healthcare documentation team. This role involves transcribing and editing medical dictations from US healthcare providers, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance with industry standards. The ideal candidate will have a keen ear for medical terminology, strong typing skills, and the ability to deliver high-quality work within deadlines.




Key Responsibilities



  • Accurately transcribe audio recordings from physicians and other healthcare professionals into written medical reports, summaries, and correspondence.

  • Review and edit drafts prepared by speech recognition software to ensure accuracy and completeness.

  • Maintain strict adherence to patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.

  • Identify and correct inconsistencies, spelling errors, and grammatical issues in reports.

  • Research and verify unfamiliar medical terms, abbreviations, and drug names.

  • Ensure timely delivery of completed transcripts to meet client turnaround times.

  • Collaborate with quality assurance teams to maintain high transcription standards.




Required Skills and Qualifications



  • Proficiency in medical transcription with a strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and pharmacology.

  • Excellent listening and comprehension skills for diverse accents and dictation styles.

  • Strong grammar, punctuation, and editing abilities.

  • High typing speed with exceptional accuracy.

  • Familiarity with transcription software, foot pedals, and electronic health record (EHR) systems.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality.




Experience



  • Minimum of 1–2 years of medical transcription experience preferred (US healthcare transcription strongly desired).

  • Freshers with relevant training in medical transcription are encouraged to apply.

  • Experience with speech recognition editing is an advantage.




Working Hours



  • Flexible scheduling with options for full-time or part-time work.
