Job Summary:


ComicCraft India is seeking a highly creative and imaginative Children’s Comic Script Writer to join our dynamic content team. This is a remote work-from-home opportunity where you will craft engaging and age-appropriate scripts for comic books designed for young readers. Your storytelling will play a vital role in creating fun, educational, and visually captivating content that resonates with children while maintaining simplicity and entertainment value.



Key Responsibilities:



  • Develop original, entertaining, and educational scripts for children’s comic books.

  • Create engaging storylines with clear structure, dialogue, and humor suitable for kids aged 5–12 years.

  • Collaborate with illustrators, editors, and designers to ensure script aligns with visual storytelling.

  • Incorporate themes that promote positive values such as friendship, creativity, and problem-solving.

  • Edit and proofread scripts to maintain consistency in tone, language, and flow.

  • Meet deadlines while ensuring high-quality and creative output.

  • Research trends in children’s comics, popular characters, and storytelling styles to stay updated.



Required Skills and Qualifications:



  • Strong command of English with excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills.

  • Creativity and ability to write compelling stories for a young audience.

  • Understanding of comic script format, panel descriptions, and dialogue writing.

  • Good sense of humor and ability to write age-appropriate jokes and content.

  • Familiarity with themes and concepts suitable for children’s literature and comics.



Experience:



  • Preferred: 1–3 years of experience in creative writing, comic scripting, or children’s literature.

  • Freshers with exceptional storytelling skills are welcome to apply.

  • Experience in working with illustrators or comic book projects will be an added advantage.



Working Hours:



  • Flexible Work-from-Home Schedule

  • Must be available for virtual meetings and weekly progress updates.

  • Project-based or part-time/full-time engagement based on performance and requirements.



Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:



  • Excellent imagination and ability to create unique characters and engaging story arcs.

  • Strong understanding of child psychology and preferences in reading material.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Familiarity with digital collaboration tools like Google Docs, Trello, or similar platforms.
