SubFix India is seeking meticulous and detail-oriented individuals to join our team as Remote Movie Subtitle Checkers. In this role, you will ensure that subtitles for movies, web series, and other video content are accurate, synchronized, and culturally appropriate. This position offers the flexibility of working from home while contributing to high-quality entertainment experiences for viewers worldwide.



Key Responsibilities



  • Review and verify subtitles for movies, series, and other video content for accuracy in language, spelling, grammar, and punctuation.

  • Ensure proper timing and synchronization of subtitles with audio and visual elements.

  • Identify and correct translation errors, missing subtitles, or formatting issues.

  • Collaborate with the translation and content teams to maintain subtitle quality standards.

  • Maintain consistency in terminology and style across various content types.

  • Report technical or content-related issues promptly to supervisors.



Required Skills and Qualifications



  • Excellent command of English, including grammar, punctuation, and vocabulary.

  • Basic knowledge of other languages is a plus (especially Hindi, Spanish, French, or regional languages depending on content requirements).

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to spot inconsistencies quickly.

  • Familiarity with subtitle formats (SRT, VTT, etc.) and basic video editing tools is advantageous.

  • Reliable internet connection and a computer/laptop suitable for remote work.



Experience



  • No formal experience required; freshers with strong language skills are encouraged to apply.

  • Prior experience in translation, transcription, or content review is a plus but not mandatory.
