Job Summary


GlobalRelief NGO is seeking a dedicated and passionate Community Outreach Officer to join our mission-driven team. This role involves building meaningful relationships with local communities, understanding their needs, and implementing programs that promote sustainable development, health, and social well-being. The ideal candidate will act as a bridge between the organization and the communities we serve, ensuring effective communication, engagement, and program delivery.




Key Responsibilities



  • Conduct community assessments to identify local needs, challenges, and opportunities for intervention.

  • Develop, implement, and monitor outreach programs and initiatives in alignment with organizational goals.

  • Serve as the primary liaison between the NGO and community stakeholders, including local leaders, volunteers, and partner organizations.

  • Organize community meetings, workshops, and awareness campaigns to promote initiatives and programs.

  • Collect and analyze data on program effectiveness, preparing detailed reports for internal and external stakeholders.

  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure resources and support are effectively delivered to communities.

  • Advocate for community needs within the organization and contribute to program planning and policy development.

  • Support fundraising and donor engagement efforts by documenting community impact stories.




Required Skills and Qualifications



  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Community Development, Public Health, or related fields.

  • Proven experience in community engagement, outreach programs, or NGO operations (1–3 years preferred).

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.

  • Ability to build strong relationships with diverse groups and communities.

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with data collection tools.

  • Knowledge of local social, cultural, and economic contexts is an advantage.




Experience



  • Minimum 1–3 years of experience in community outreach, NGO program management, or social development projects.

  • Fieldwork experience and working directly with local communities is highly desirable.




Working Hours



  • Full-time role; standard working hours apply (flexibility required for field visits or community events).

  • Occasional weekend or evening work may be needed to support outreach activities.

  • Deep understanding of community development principles and social welfare programs.

  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities in field-based situations.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a multicultural environment.

  • High level of empathy, cultural sensitivity, and ethical responsibility.

  • Strong reporting and documentation skills for program tracking and evaluation.
