Job Summary


GoodCause International is seeking compassionate and dedicated Social Workers to join our global team remotely. As a Remote Social Worker, you will provide essential support, guidance, and advocacy to individuals and communities in need. You will work closely with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams to assess needs, develop care plans, and connect clients to appropriate resources. Key Responsibilities



  • Conduct virtual assessments of clients’ social, emotional, and psychological needs.

  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized care plans for clients.

  • Provide counseling, guidance, and emotional support to individuals and families.

  • Connect clients to local and international resources, services, and programs.

  • Advocate for client rights and promote social justice initiatives.

  • Maintain accurate and confidential client records in compliance with organizational policies.

  • Collaborate with colleagues, community organizations, and partner agencies to ensure holistic care.

  • Participate in team meetings, case discussions, and professional development sessions.



Required Skills and Qualifications



  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or related field.

  • Licensed or certified social worker preferred (depending on country regulations).

  • Strong understanding of social work principles, mental health, and community resources.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Proficiency in digital communication tools (Zoom, MS Teams, Slack) and case management software.

  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.

  • Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and organizational skills.



Experience



  • Minimum 2 years of experience in social work, counseling, or a related field.

  • Experience in remote or virtual client support is highly desirable.

  • Experience working with diverse populations and in cross-cultural environments is a plus.



Working Hours



  • Full-time or part-time flexible hours.

  • Some availability for client meetings across different time zones may be required.

  • Work-from-home setup with remote collaboration with international teams.



Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities



  • Knowledge of social welfare policies, community resources, and mental health support.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build trust with clients remotely.

  • Ability to manage multiple cases effectively while maintaining high quality care.

  • Cultural sensitivity and awareness when working with clients from diverse backgrounds.

  • Proficiency in using digital tools for communication, documentation, and reporting.
