Job Summary:


ReliefConnect NGO is seeking a dedicated and proactive Field Officer to support and implement our community development projects. The Field Officer will serve as the key liaison between the organization and the local communities, ensuring that programs are executed effectively, on schedule, and aligned with our mission of social impact. This role requires hands-on engagement with beneficiaries, meticulous data collection, and active problem-solving to achieve program goals.




Key Responsibilities:



  • Conduct field visits to project locations to monitor, evaluate, and support ongoing initiatives.

  • Coordinate with local stakeholders, community leaders, and partner organizations to facilitate smooth project operations.

  • Collect and maintain accurate records, reports, and program data for analysis and decision-making.

  • Assist in planning and executing community outreach, awareness campaigns, and training sessions.

  • Identify community needs and report feedback to project managers for program enhancement.

  • Support logistics, resource distribution, and compliance with project timelines and budgets.

  • Ensure adherence to organizational policies, safety guidelines, and ethical standards during field operations.




Required Skills and Qualifications:



  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Development Studies, Community Management, or related field.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse communities.

  • Proficiency in data collection tools, report writing, and basic computer applications.

  • Ability to work independently in remote or challenging environments.

  • Strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Fluency in English; local language skills are highly desirable.




Experience:



  • Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in field-based community development or NGO projects.

  • Experience in project monitoring, community engagement, or outreach programs preferred.




Working Hours:



  • Full-time role; field visits may require flexible hours, including occasional weekends or evenings.

  • Willingness to travel regularly to project sites.




Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:



  • Understanding of social development issues, humanitarian principles, and NGO operations.

  • Ability to analyze field data and prepare concise, actionable reports.

  • Strong interpersonal skills to manage community relationships and team collaboration.

  • Adaptability and resilience in challenging field environments.

  • Attention to detail and commitment to achieving project objectives.
