Job Summary


UnityAid Services is seeking a dedicated and proactive Community Development Coordinator to lead and support initiatives that enhance social welfare, community engagement, and sustainable development programs. The ideal candidate will work closely with local communities, partner organizations, and internal teams to design, implement, and evaluate community-driven projects. This role requires a combination of strategic planning, relationship management, and hands-on coordination to create a meaningful impact in the lives of the people we serve.




Key Responsibilities



  • Plan, implement, and monitor community development projects aligned with UnityAid Services’ mission and goals.

  • Conduct needs assessments and research to identify community challenges, resources, and opportunities for engagement.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with community members, local authorities, NGOs, and other stakeholders.

  • Organize workshops, awareness campaigns, and training programs to empower communities and enhance participation.

  • Prepare project proposals, reports, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.

  • Track project progress, evaluate outcomes, and provide recommendations for improvement.

  • Facilitate volunteer engagement and coordinate community events.

  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, donor requirements, and local regulations.




Required Skills and Qualifications



  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Community Development, Sociology, Public Administration, or related fields.

  • Proven experience in community development, social programs, or NGO operations.

  • Strong project management and organizational skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse communities and stakeholders.

  • Competency in monitoring, evaluation, and reporting of social projects.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and data management tools.




Experience



  • Minimum 2-4 years of experience in community development, social work, or NGO sector roles.

  • Experience in liaising with local communities, government bodies, or international development organizations is highly desirable.

  • Prior experience in fundraising, grant writing, or volunteer coordination is a plus.




Working Hours



  • Full-time role: 40 hours per week.

  • Flexibility may be required to attend community events or field visits during weekends or evenings.
