Job Summary


RuralRelief NGO is dedicated to improving the lives of rural communities through sustainable development initiatives. We are seeking a Rural Development Program Assistant to support the planning, implementation, and monitoring of rural development programs. This role involves coordinating activities, engaging with local communities, collecting data, and ensuring smooth program execution in alignment with organizational goals.




Key Responsibilities



  • Assist in the planning and execution of rural development projects, including education, healthcare, livelihood, and infrastructure programs.

  • Coordinate with local communities, government bodies, and partner organizations to ensure effective implementation.

  • Collect, maintain, and analyze data related to program activities and report progress to the Program Manager.

  • Facilitate training sessions and workshops for rural beneficiaries as per project requirements.

  • Conduct field visits to monitor project progress and identify areas for improvement.

  • Prepare detailed reports, documentation, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.

  • Support fundraising initiatives and proposal writing for new projects.

  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies and donor requirements.




Required Skills and Qualifications



  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Rural Development, Sociology, or a related field.

  • Strong understanding of rural development issues and community engagement practices.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and local languages.

  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and basic data management tools.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.

  • Strong interpersonal and coordination skills with a collaborative mindset.




Experience



  • Minimum 1–3 years of experience in NGO work, rural development projects, or community-based programs.

  • Freshers with relevant internships and a passion for rural development are encouraged to apply.




Working Hours



  • Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM (Flexible for fieldwork requirements)

  • Occasional weekend work for community events or urgent project needs.

  • Knowledge of rural socio-economic challenges and sustainable development practices.

  • Ability to build trust and relationships with rural communities.

  • Problem-solving skills with adaptability to challenging environments.

  • Familiarity with data collection tools and basic reporting techniques.
