Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Remote NGO Volunteer Manager to oversee the recruitment, engagement, and coordination of our volunteer network. This role is vital to ensuring that our programs run smoothly by leveraging volunteer support to achieve our mission. The ideal candidate will be passionate about non-profit work, possess exceptional organizational skills, and be comfortable working in a remote environment.




Key Responsibilities



  • Develop and implement strategies to recruit, onboard, and retain volunteers.

  • Maintain a comprehensive database of volunteers and ensure accurate records of their participation.

  • Coordinate volunteer schedules, roles, and assignments across multiple projects and initiatives.

  • Provide training, guidance, and support to volunteers to ensure their success and satisfaction.

  • Act as the primary point of contact for all volunteer-related inquiries and communications.

  • Monitor volunteer performance and provide feedback for continuous improvement.

  • Plan and execute virtual volunteer appreciation events and engagement activities.

  • Collaborate with program managers to identify volunteer needs for upcoming projects.

  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies and volunteer agreements.




Required Skills and Qualifications



  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Non-Profit Management, Human Resources, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

  • Proven experience in volunteer management or coordination within NGOs, non-profits, or similar sectors.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.

  • Proficiency in using digital tools for remote collaboration (e.g., Google Workspace, Zoom, project management software).

  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and work independently with minimal supervision.




Experience



  • Minimum: 2+ years of experience in volunteer coordination, HR, or community management.

  • Preferred: Previous experience working in a non-profit or social impact organization.




Working Hours



  • Flexible remote schedule, approximately 20–30 hours per week.

  • Availability during core collaboration hours for virtual meetings and volunteer support.
