Job Summary


BrightSteps NGO is dedicated to making a meaningful impact through community development, education, and social welfare initiatives. We are seeking a passionate and organized NGO Event Coordinator to plan, manage, and execute fundraising events, awareness campaigns, and community engagement programs. The ideal candidate will be creative, resourceful, and able to coordinate with multiple stakeholders to ensure successful event delivery that aligns with the organization’s mission.




Key Responsibilities



  • Plan, organize, and execute fundraising events, awareness drives, and community programs.

  • Develop event budgets and ensure cost-effective resource utilization.

  • Coordinate with vendors, sponsors, and volunteers to ensure smooth event operations.

  • Prepare event proposals, timelines, and promotional strategies.

  • Oversee event marketing through social media, email campaigns, and partnerships.

  • Monitor event logistics including venue arrangements, registration, and on-site management.

  • Ensure compliance with all organizational policies and legal regulations for events.

  • Prepare post-event reports, analyze performance, and provide recommendations for improvement.

  • Maintain strong relationships with donors, sponsors, and community partners.




Required Skills and Qualifications



  • Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Communications, Marketing, or related field.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.

  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and event management tools.

  • Knowledge of social media platforms and digital marketing strategies.




Experience



  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in event planning or coordination, preferably in the NGO or nonprofit sector.

  • Experience in managing volunteers and working with diverse stakeholders.




Working Hours



  • Standard working hours: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (Monday to Friday).

  • Flexibility required for evenings and weekends during events.

  • Knowledge of fundraising techniques and donor engagement strategies.
