Job Description

We are seeking reliable, detail-oriented Transcriptionists to join our growing team. This is a fully remote opportunity open to candidates based in Canada, ideal for individuals with excellent listening skills, fast and accurate typing ability, and the desire to work flexible hours from home. You will be responsible for converting a variety of audio files—interviews, podcasts, meetings, medical or legal dictations—into written transcripts with a high level of accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

• Listen to and transcribe audio and video files into clear, well-formatted text


• Identify speakers, timestamp content when required, and maintain transcription standards


• Proofread and edit transcripts for grammar, clarity, and formatting


• Meet deadlines for multiple ongoing projects


• Handle confidential information with discretion


• Follow client-specific formatting and transcription style guidelines

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Excellent English language skills (spoken and written)


• Fast and accurate typing speed (minimum 60 WPM preferred)


• Strong grammar, punctuation, and editing ability


• Good hearing, attention to detail, and ability to distinguish accents


• Familiarity with transcription software (e.g., Express Scribe, Otter, Trint, or similar)


• Basic understanding of MS Word or Google Docs formatting


• A quiet workspace and reliable internet connection

Experience

• Previous transcription experience is preferred but not mandatory


• Freshers with strong typing and language skills are welcome to apply


• Specialized transcription (medical, legal, or academic) is a plus
