Your understanding of clinical procedures and medical terminology will be key in optimizing claims submissions and ensuring that all data is correctly reported. You will also be tasked with reviewing patient records, identifying discrepancies, and helping to clarify any ambiguous or unclear medical documentation. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a team of professionals dedicated to improving healthcare delivery and reimbursement accuracy. If you are passionate about blending your clinical knowledge with administrative expertise, this is the perfect role for you.

  • Stay updated with changing healthcare laws, coding practices, and reimbursement requirements.
  • Audit and review clinical documents to ensure proper coding of all treatments and services.
  • Assist in optimizing billing processes to reduce claim denials and ensure timely payment.
  • Conduct regular checks to ensure data accuracy and mitigate potential discrepancies.
  • Provide education and support to healthcare staff regarding documentation practices and coding protocols.

Requirements:

  • Graduate in Paramedical, Nursing, or a related healthcare field.
  • Certification in Medical Coding (CPC, CCS, or equivalent) is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and healthcare processes.
  • Familiarity with ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems.
  • Knowledge of healthcare compliance regulations such as HIPAA.
  • Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and coding software.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential patient information with integrity.

Experience:

  • 1-2 years of experience in medical coding, preferably within a hospital or clinical environment.
  • Experience with coding for a variety of medical specialties is an advantage but not required.
  • Previous experience working with paramedical or nursing data is a strong plus.

Working Hours:

  • Full-time position with a standard workweek of 40 hours.
  • Monday to Friday, with occasional flexibility to meet deadlines or handle urgent coding tasks.
  • Remote or hybrid options available based on company policy.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in using coding software and databases.
  • Problem-solving skills to address and resolve coding discrepancies.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple records and deadlines simultaneously.

Benefits:

  • Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications.
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance.
