Amazon is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Inventory Specialist to join our warehouse operations team. As an Inventory Specialist, you will play a key role in ensuring the efficient management of inventory within the warehouse. You will be responsible for tracking product quantities, managing stock levels, conducting regular audits, and maintaining a high level of accuracy to support the seamless operation of the warehouse. Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee inventory management within the warehouse, ensuring all items are tracked accurately.
  • Perform regular stock audits, reconciling discrepancies between physical inventory and system records.
  • Monitor and manage stock levels to ensure inventory is always aligned with demand forecasts.
  • Collaborate with various teams to ensure timely receipt, storage, and shipment of products.
  • Report any discrepancies, damages, or missing items and work with the appropriate departments to resolve issues.
  • Use warehouse management software to track inventory movements and report on status.
  • Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with safety protocols and warehouse policies.
  • Provide training and guidance to warehouse staff on inventory control procedures.
  • Support the implementation of inventory control initiatives and process improvements.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in tracking inventory.
  • Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with teams.
  • Knowledge of inventory control processes and best practices.
  • Ability to lift and move products up to 50 lbs and operate warehouse machinery.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required.

Experience:

  • At least 1-2 years of experience in warehouse operations, inventory management, or a related field.
  • Previous experience with inventory software and warehouse management systems is a plus.
  • Experience in handling large inventories and managing stock levels in a fast-paced environment.
  • Prior experience in a similar role within e-commerce or distribution operations is desirable.

Working Hours:

  • Full-time position with flexible working hours.
  • Shift-based schedule, which may include evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays based on operational needs.

  • Strong understanding of inventory management systems and warehouse operations.
  • Ability to maintain organization and high accuracy under pressure.
