Job Summary:

Fresher Jobs Hub is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Human Resources Compliance Manager to oversee all aspects of HR regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will play a key role in ensuring the company adheres to federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations. This position involves maintaining a deep understanding of HR best practices, company policies, and employment laws to help mitigate risks and protect the company from legal exposure. The HR Compliance Manager will also drive HR audits, provide recommendations for improvements, and ensure compliance with equal opportunity regulations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with employee-related regulations, including Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO), Health & Safety, and Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).
  • Perform HR audits, reviews, and inspections to assess the companys adherence to internal policies and external laws.
  • Provide guidance and recommendations to senior leadership regarding HR compliance issues and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with legal teams to handle employee disputes, litigation, and settlement negotiations as necessary.
  • Stay up-to-date on changes in labor laws and regulations and implement necessary changes to policies and practices.
  • Train HR staff and management on compliance requirements and proper procedures.
  • Prepare compliance reports for government agencies, regulatory bodies, and internal stakeholders.
  • Manage investigations and disciplinary actions related to non-compliance issues and employee grievances.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in Human Resources, with a focus on compliance and risk management.
  • Extensive knowledge of labor laws, employment regulations, and HR compliance requirements.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with all levels of staff.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and consistency.
  • Proven ability to conduct investigations and audits related to HR compliance.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS systems.
  • Certification in HR or Compliance (e.g., PHR, SHRM-CP, or other relevant certifications) is preferred.

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a human resources compliance role, preferably within a corporate or multi-state environment.
  • Experience managing HR audits, reporting, and policy implementation.
  • Knowledge of both federal and state-specific HR regulations and employment laws.

Working Hours:

  • Full-time, Monday to Friday.
  • Standard working hours: 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
  • Flexibility in working hours may be required during high-volume periods or when addressing urgent compliance issues.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge: In-depth understanding of HR laws and regulations, including EEO, ADA, FMLA, FLSA, and OSHA.
  • Skills: Strong analytical skills, risk assessment, report generation, and policy development.
  • Abilities: Ability to communicate complex compliance concepts to non-experts, handle sensitive employee issues, and maintain a high level of confidentiality.
