Job Summary:
OneTech Associates is currently seeking an enthusiastic and customer-focused Cashier & Counter Service professional to join our team at a branded foodcourt. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, providing exceptional service, and ensuring smooth and efficient operation at the counter. You will be the face of the foodcourt, engaging directly with customers, processing transactions, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment for all guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome customers with a positive attitude and professional demeanor.
- Efficiently process customer orders, handling both cash and digital transactions with accuracy.
- Ensure the counter is well-stocked, clean, and organized at all times.
- Provide customers with menu information, upsell products, and answer questions regarding food items and specials.
- Maintain accurate cash register records, including receipts and change, while adhering to company policies.
- Ensure that food and beverage items are prepared and served in accordance with food safety regulations and company standards.
- Handle customer complaints or concerns with a calm and solution-oriented approach.
- Support kitchen staff in food preparation and delivery when required.
- Assist in cleaning duties, including wiping down surfaces, maintaining hygiene standards, and cleaning equipment.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company protocols.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a cashier, counter service representative, or in a similar customer-facing role.
- Strong communication skills with a friendly and approachable personality.
- Basic math skills for handling cash and transactions.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in processing orders and transactions.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team, as well as independently when required.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and hygiene standards.
- A positive attitude and commitment to providing excellent customer service.
Experience:
- At least 1 year of experience in a cashier, counter service, or retail position is preferred.
- Previous experience in the food service industry is a plus, but not mandatory.
Working Hours:
- Full-time and part-time positions available.
- Flexibility required to work shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with customers quickly.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle difficult situations gracefully.
- Good time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.
- Knowledge of point-of-sale (POS) systems is an advantage.
