Job Summary:

As a Greenhouse Worker, you will play a crucial role in maintaining, harvesting, and cultivating various plants within a greenhouse environment. Key Responsibilities:

• Planting, tending, and harvesting a variety of crops within a greenhouse setting.
• Operating greenhouse equipment for planting, trimming, and maintenance tasks.
• Monitoring plant health and applying fertilizers, pesticides, and herbicides when necessary.
• Maintaining cleanliness and organization of the greenhouse, tools, and machinery.
• Checking temperature, humidity, and irrigation systems to ensure optimal growing conditions.
• Packaging and labeling harvested crops for distribution.
• Assisting in the maintenance of greenhouse structures and equipment.
• Following safety protocols and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
• Reporting any issues or plant health concerns to supervisors.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Ability to work efficiently and independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to recognize signs of plant diseases and pests.
• Comfortable with physical tasks such as bending, lifting, and standing for long periods.
• Basic knowledge of greenhouse operations and plant care.
• Ability to operate and maintain greenhouse equipment.
• Good communication skills for reporting issues to supervisors and team members.
• Strong work ethic and a team-oriented attitude.

Experience:

• Previous experience in greenhouse work or agriculture is preferred but not required.
• Willingness to undergo on-the-job training to enhance skills.
• Experience with the use of greenhouse machinery, irrigation systems, and pesticides is a plus.

Working Hours:

• Full-time position with flexible working hours.
• Typical work schedule: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week.
• Occasional weekend work may be required during peak seasons.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Knowledge of horticulture and basic plant biology.
• Ability to work in varying weather conditions and temperatures.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage time effectively.
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment.
• Willingness to learn new techniques and processes related to greenhouse work.
