Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive support for macOS desktops, software, and related peripherals.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, ensuring prompt resolution to minimize downtime.
  • Configure, deploy, and maintain macOS devices, ensuring optimal performance and security.
  • Manage and resolve macOS-related incidents using a ticketing system, adhering to SLAs.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to integrate macOS devices into enterprise systems, including Active Directory and cloud services.
  • Perform regular system updates, backups, and maintenance to ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Train and assist end-users on macOS functionality and best practices.
  • Document support procedures, solutions, and system configurations for knowledge-sharing purposes.
  • Stay updated with macOS developments and recommend improvements to existing systems.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Strong expertise in macOS troubleshooting, configuration, and deployment.
  • In-depth knowledge of macOS system architecture, file systems, and command-line tools.
  • Familiarity with enterprise IT environments, including Active Directory, Jamf, or other MDM solutions.
  • Experience with networking concepts, such as TCP/IP, DNS, and VPN configurations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-service mindset.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Experience

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in macOS desktop support or a similar role.
  • Experience in enterprise IT support or managing macOS systems in a corporate environment.

Working Hours

  • Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM (flexibility required for urgent support needs).
  • Hybrid work model (remote and on-site as needed).

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Advanced understanding of macOS and Apple hardware troubleshooting.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with a focus on root cause analysis.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python) for automation.
  • Knowledge of IT service management tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira).
  • Proactive attitude with a drive to stay informed about new Apple technologies.
