Job Summary

Apple Inc. is seeking a skilled and experienced Mac OS X System Administrator to join our IT and Server Management team. The role involves maintaining and managing Mac OS X systems, servers, and networks to ensure optimal performance and security. You will play a critical role in supporting Apples cutting-edge technologies, ensuring seamless IT operations, and implementing solutions to meet the needs of our employees and clients globally.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage, maintain, and troubleshoot Mac OS X systems and servers.
• Implement and enforce system security protocols, including software updates, patches, and firewalls.
• Oversee and optimize network performance across Mac-based systems.
• Configure and deploy hardware and software for both end-users and server environments.
• Monitor system performance, identify issues, and ensure high availability of services.
• Manage Active Directory integration and single sign-on (SSO) configurations for Mac systems.
• Create and maintain detailed system documentation, including configuration guides and disaster recovery plans.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver IT infrastructure solutions aligned with business needs.
• Provide end-user support and technical assistance to resolve complex system issues.
• Conduct periodic system audits to maintain compliance with company policies and industry standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Expertise in managing and troubleshooting Mac OS X systems in an enterprise environment.
• In-depth knowledge of macOS server configurations, system security, and directory services.
• Strong understanding of networking protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPNs.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation tools (e.g., Bash, Python, or AppleScript).
• Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Parallels).
• Familiarity with enterprise tools such as Jamf Pro or other mobile device management (MDM) platforms.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Experience

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Mac OS X System Administrator or similar role in IT infrastructure.
• Experience working in a large-scale, high-performance IT environment is highly desirable.

Working Hours

• Full-time position.
• Standard working hours: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday.
• Occasional on-call support during weekends or evenings to address critical system issues.
