As a Remote Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer support via phone, email, and chat. If you have strong communication skills, a passion for helping others, and a problem-solving mindset, this role is perfect for you!
Key Responsibilities
- Answer inbound calls and respond to customer inquiries regarding health plans, claims, and benefits.
- Assist members with policy information, coverage details, and billing questions.
- Process requests for prior authorizations, claims status, and provider directory assistance.
- Investigate and resolve customer concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain accurate documentation of customer interactions in company systems.
- Educate customers on available health programs, wellness benefits, and cost-saving options.
- Adhere to HIPAA guidelines to protect sensitive customer information.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to empathize and actively listen to customer concerns.
- Basic computer proficiency and ability to navigate multiple systems.
- Strong problem-solving and multitasking abilities.
- Reliable internet connection and quiet home workspace.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associates or bachelors degree is a plus.
Experience
- No prior experience required; paid training provided.
- Previous experience in customer service, healthcare, insurance, or call centers is a plus.
Working Hours
- Full-time and part-time shifts available.
- Must be available for evening, weekend, and holiday shifts if required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to stay calm and professional under pressure.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-call-volume environment.
- Ability to learn and follow Cignas policies and procedures.
