We are seeking a highly skilled bilingual translator-proofreader to work remotely on translating and proofreading documents from English to another language (or vice versa). This role requires strong linguistic skills, attention to detail, and fluency in both English and at least one other language.

The ideal candidate will have experience in translation, editing, and proofreading, ensuring accuracy, cultural relevance, and clarity in all written materials.

Key Responsibilities

• Translate documents accurately from English to a second language (or vice versa).
• Proofread and edit translations to ensure grammar, style, and tone align with the original text.
• Maintain terminological consistency and adhere to industry-specific standards.
• Ensure translations meet cultural and linguistic expectations.
• Work with project managers to meet deadlines and quality requirements.
• Utilize translation tools and glossaries to enhance consistency and efficiency.
• Research terminology and stay updated with language trends.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Fluency in English and at least one other language (Spanish, French, German, Chinese, Arabic, etc.).
• Strong understanding of grammar, syntax, and language nuances in both languages.
• Experience in translation, proofreading, and editing (1–3 years preferred).
• Familiarity with translation software (CAT tools) is a plus.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines.

Experience

• Prior experience in translation agencies, publishing, legal, medical, or business translations is a plus.
• Certification in translation or proofreading (e.g., ATA, NAATI, CIOL) is desirable but not mandatory.
