Key Responsibilities

• Listen to and transcribe dictated recordings from healthcare professionals accurately.

• Identify inconsistencies, errors, and missing information in transcriptions and resolve them accordingly.
• Ensure compliance with confidentiality laws (HIPAA or similar regulations).
• Utilize medical dictionaries, references, and other resources to ensure correct terminology usage.
• Meet assigned deadlines and maintain high-quality standards in all transcriptions.
• Communicate with the healthcare team or supervisors to clarify dictations when necessary.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Proficiency in medical terminology, anatomy, and pharmacology.
• Strong listening skills and ability to understand different accents and speech patterns.
• Fast and accurate typing skills (minimum 50 words per minute recommended).
• Excellent grammar, punctuation, and spelling abilities.
• Ability to use transcription software and word-processing applications efficiently.
• High attention to detail and strong proofreading skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information responsibly.

Experience

• Prior experience in medical transcription or healthcare documentation is preferred.
• Freshers with relevant certifications in medical transcription or healthcare documentation are encouraged to apply.
• Experience using medical transcription software is an advantage.

Working Hours

• Part-time, flexible working hours.
• Work from home with the ability to set your own schedule, as long as deadlines are met.
• Availability for at least 15-20 hours per week is preferred.
