Job Summary

IT Sight Technologies is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Network Administrator to join our IT team. This entry-level role is ideal for individuals with a passion for networking, troubleshooting, and system administration. The successful candidate will assist in maintaining and supporting our network infrastructure, ensuring smooth operation and connectivity across all departments.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of network hardware and software.

• Monitor network performance and ensure system availability and reliability.

• Troubleshoot network issues and resolve connectivity problems promptly.

• Assist with network security measures, including firewalls, VPNs, and access controls.

• Support end-users by troubleshooting network-related issues and providing solutions.

• Document network configurations, changes, and issues for future reference.

• Work with senior network administrators to improve system efficiency and security.

• Stay updated with the latest networking trends, technologies, and best practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent certifications/experience).

• Basic understanding of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VLANs.

• Familiarity with network hardware, including routers, switches, and firewalls.

• Knowledge of operating systems such as Windows and Linux.

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

• Eagerness to learn and grow in the field of network administration.

Experience

• 0-2 years of experience in an IT support or networking role.

• Internships or coursework related to networking and system administration are a plus.

• Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CCNA, or equivalent are highly desirable.

Working Hours

• Full-time position (40 hours per week)

• Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (some flexibility may be required for maintenance and troubleshooting after hours)

• Ability to diagnose and resolve basic network issues efficiently.

• Familiarity with network monitoring tools.
