Job Summary

IT Sight Technologies is looking for a motivated Cybersecurity Analyst to join our remote team. As a Cybersecurity Analyst, you will assist in monitoring security systems, analyzing threats, and implementing protective measures to safeguard our organizations data.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze network traffic to detect security threats and vulnerabilities.

• Assist in developing and implementing security protocols to prevent cyber threats.

• Investigate security breaches and work on mitigation strategies.

• Collaborate with IT teams to maintain compliance with security standards.

• Support security awareness training programs for employees.

• Stay updated with the latest cybersecurity trends and technologies.

• Assist in conducting security audits and risk assessments.

• Document security incidents and provide recommendations for improvements.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).

• Basic knowledge of cybersecurity principles and best practices.

• Understanding of network security, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems.

• Familiarity with security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, or CIS Controls.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

• Ability to work independently in a remote setting.

• Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CEH, or CISSP (preferred but not required).

Experience

• 0-2 years of experience in cybersecurity, IT support, or related fields.

• Experience with cybersecurity tools (e.g., SIEM, endpoint protection, vulnerability scanners) is a plus.

Working Hours

• Flexible working hours with core team collaboration between 9 AM - 5 PM EST.

• Full-time remote position with occasional virtual meetings.

• Attention to detail and ability to identify potential security threats.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

• Basic scripting knowledge (Python, PowerShell, or Bash) is a plus.
