Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Listen to and interpret physician dictations, ensuring proper medical terminology usage.

• Maintain high levels of accuracy while typing and formatting medical documentation.

• Follow HIPAA compliance guidelines and maintain patient confidentiality.

• Review and edit medical documents for grammar, clarity, and accuracy.

• Assist healthcare professionals in organizing and updating electronic health records (EHR).

• Communicate effectively with physicians and healthcare staff to clarify documentation details.

• Stay updated on medical terminology and best transcription practices.

• Ensure all reports are completed and submitted within the required timeframe.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.

• Excellent listening and typing skills with high accuracy.

• Proficiency in medical documentation and transcription software.

• Knowledge of Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems (Epic, Cerner, etc.).

• Exceptional grammar, punctuation, and proofreading skills.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.

• High-speed internet connection and a reliable computer setup.

• Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.

Experience

• Prior experience as a Medical Scribe, Medical Transcriptionist, or similar role preferred but not required.

• New graduates with strong medical terminology knowledge are encouraged to apply.

• Experience working in a remote environment is a plus.
