Job Summary:

Houston Skilled Consultancy is seeking a dedicated and experienced Heavy Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating heavy trucks and transporting goods efficiently and safely. The role requires adherence to all traffic regulations, safety procedures, and company policies while ensuring timely delivery of cargo.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate heavy trucks to transport goods and materials to designated locations.

• Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks before and after each trip.

• Adhere to traffic laws, safety regulations, and company protocols while driving.

• Load and unload cargo as required, ensuring proper securing of loads.

• Keep accurate records of vehicle maintenance, mileage, fuel consumption, and delivery logs.

• Communicate with dispatchers, customers, and warehouse personnel to coordinate deliveries.

• Report mechanical issues, traffic violations, or accidents immediately to the appropriate authorities.

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the trucks interior and exterior.

• Follow efficient route plans to meet delivery schedules.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Valid commercial drivers license (CDL) with the appropriate endorsements.

• Proven experience as a heavy truck driver or similar role.

• Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and defensive driving techniques.

• Ability to operate manual and automatic transmission trucks.

• Physical strength and stamina to handle long hours of driving and loading/unloading tasks.

• Excellent time management and organizational skills.

• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Experience:
