Job Summary

Houston Skilled Consultancy is seeking reliable and experienced Commercial Truck Drivers to join our team. As a Commercial Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations while ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations. This position is ideal for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a strong commitment to safety and customer service. Full-time and part-time opportunities are available.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate commercial trucks, including tractor-trailers, in a safe and responsible manner.

• Transport goods and materials to designated locations following specified routes and schedules.

• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure roadworthiness and compliance with regulations.

• Adhere to all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company policies.

• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption.

• Load and unload cargo as needed, ensuring proper handling and securing of freight.

• Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and other team members.

• Report any mechanical issues, accidents, or violations to the management promptly.

• Ensure timely delivery while prioritizing safety at all times.

• Provide excellent customer service and represent the company in a professional manner.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Valid Commercial Drivers License (CDL) - Class A or B.

• Clean driving record with no major violations in the past three years.

• Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards.

• Strong time management and organizational skills.

• Ability to operate GPS navigation systems and electronic logging devices (ELDs).

• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to lift and maneuver heavy cargo if required.

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial truck driving preferred.

• Experience in handling different types of cargo and freight transportation is an advantage.

Working Hours

• Flexible schedules available with both full-time and part-time positions.

• Day, night, and weekend shifts may be required based on operational needs.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Strong knowledge of road safety rules and regulations.

• Ability to work independently and handle unexpected situations effectively.
