Houston Skilled Consultancy is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Freelance Backend Software Developer to join our clients dynamic team. This role is ideal for experienced developers with a strong background in backend development, API integration, and database management. As a freelancer, you will have the flexibility to work remotely while contributing to innovative software solutions that drive business success.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and optimize backend systems, ensuring high performance and responsiveness.

• Design and implement APIs for seamless integration with front-end applications and third-party services.

• Collaborate with frontend developers, product managers, and stakeholders to deliver scalable solutions.

• Ensure security best practices are followed in application development and data management.

• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve software defects and performance issues.

• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.

• Keep up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Proficiency in backend programming languages such as Node.js, Python, Java, Ruby, or PHP.

• Experience with database management systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or Firebase.

• Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, GraphQL, and microservices architecture.

• Familiarity with cloud services such as AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure.

• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.

• Knowledge of authentication and security protocols, including OAuth and JWT.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.

• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate in a remote setting.

Experience

• Minimum of 3+ years of experience in backend software development.

• Proven track record of working on freelance or remote projects is a plus.

• Experience in Agile or Scrum methodologies is desirable.

Working Hours
