Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly, professional, and customer-focused Hotel Receptionist to join a leading hospitality team in Singapore. As the first point of contact for our esteemed guests, you will play a vital role in ensuring a positive guest experience by providing exceptional front desk services. The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, attentive to detail, and passionate about the hospitality industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive at the hotel in a warm and courteous manner.
- Manage guest check-in and check-out processes efficiently using the hotels management system.
- Handle reservations, room assignments, and special guest requests with professionalism and care.
- Provide accurate information regarding hotel services, room rates, and local attractions.
- Answer and direct incoming calls and respond promptly to emails and inquiries.
- Handle guest complaints diplomatically and escalate issues when necessary.
- Collaborate with housekeeping, maintenance, and other departments to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Maintain the reception areas cleanliness and ensure a welcoming environment.
- Perform administrative duties such as preparing reports, managing cash and credit transactions, and updating guest records.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
- Proficiency in English; additional languages (Mandarin, Malay, or Tamil) are an advantage.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with front desk operations or Property Management Systems (PMS).
Experience
- Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
- Prior experience in customer service, front desk, or the hospitality industry will be an added advantage but is not mandatory.
Working Hours
- Rotational shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
- Standard shift: 8 to 10 hours per day (flexible with morning, afternoon, and night shifts depending on hotel requirements).
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge of hotel procedures and customer service standards.
- A proactive approach with the ability to identify and solve problems effectively.
- Ability to maintain a professional demeanor and a polished appearance at all times.
- A positive and service-oriented attitude with a passion for delivering memorable guest experiences.
