Working remotely, you will assist clients with their health insurance inquiries, resolve issues, and ensure that each customer feels supported and valued. Key Responsibilities
- Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries via phone, email, and chat.
- Provide accurate information regarding healthcare plans, claims, benefits, and services.
- Troubleshoot and resolve customer issues efficiently and empathetically.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Cignas products, policies, and procedures.
- Document customer interactions and follow up on outstanding issues as needed.
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve complex customer cases.
- Meet or exceed key performance metrics such as customer satisfaction, response time, and issue resolution rate.
- Adhere to confidentiality and compliance regulations, including HIPAA.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associates or Bachelors degree is a plus.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to navigate multiple computer systems and applications simultaneously.
- Exceptional problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- A customer-first attitude with a passion for helping others.
Experience
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in customer service, preferably within the healthcare or insurance industry.
- Experience working in a remote or call center environment is highly desirable.
Working Hours
- Full-time, 40 hours per week.
- Flexibility to work shifts between 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM EST, Monday through Friday.
- Occasional weekend or holiday coverage may be required based on business needs.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge of health insurance terminology and processes is an advantage.
- Proficiency with CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong multitasking and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
