Hospital Jobs is seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Remote Technical Support Specialist to join our growing team. In this role, you will provide exceptional technical support to healthcare professionals and clients across various medical facilities during evening and overnight hours. You will act as the first point of contact for diagnosing and resolving technical issues related to our systems, ensuring seamless operations critical to patient care and clinical workflows. Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the initial point of contact for all incoming technical support inquiries via phone, email, and chat during assigned shifts.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Escalate complex incidents to appropriate internal teams while maintaining ownership and communication with the client.
- Monitor system performance and proactively address potential technical disruptions.
- Document all support activities and maintain detailed and accurate records in our ticketing system.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the timely resolution of technical issues impacting healthcare operations.
- Provide guidance and step-by-step instructions to non-technical end users, ensuring understanding and satisfaction.
- Participate in ongoing training sessions to stay updated with industry best practices, hospital IT systems, and security protocols.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Proven experience providing remote technical support in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong troubleshooting skills related to Windows and Mac operating systems, networking, and hospital information systems (HIS).
- Proficiency in remote support tools, ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Zendesk), and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and work independently with minimal supervision.
Experience
- Minimum of 2 years in a technical support role, preferably within the healthcare, IT services, or managed services sectors.
- Prior experience supporting mission-critical systems in a 24/7 environment is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with healthcare technologies such as Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS) is a plus.
Working Hours
- Evening and Overnight Shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.
- Flexibility to adjust schedules to meet business needs and provide continuous support coverage.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- In-depth knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and troubleshooting techniques.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
- High level of professionalism, empathy, and customer service orientation.
- Ability to manage multiple support cases simultaneously in a high-pressure environment.
