Job Summary
American Airlines is seeking passionate and service-driven individuals to join our team as Remote Customer Service Agents. This role plays a pivotal part in delivering the world-class service our airline is known for—ensuring every interaction with our customers is handled with care, efficiency, and a human touch. As a remote representative, you will support travelers by answering inquiries, resolving issues, and guiding them through booking, check-in, and travel policies from the comfort of your home.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to incoming customer calls, chats, and emails in a professional and courteous manner
- Provide accurate information regarding flights, bookings, cancellations, and loyalty programs
- Assist customers with reservation changes, special travel needs, and real-time flight issues
- Handle complaints and troubleshoot concerns while ensuring customer satisfaction
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of American Airlines policies, systems, and tools
- Ensure every customer interaction aligns with our brand standards for excellence
- Log all customer interactions using internal CRM tools and maintain accurate records
- Escalate complex queries to the appropriate department when necessary
Required Skills and Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree is a plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure
- Tech-savvy with the ability to navigate multiple systems simultaneously
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently in a remote setup
- Strong customer-first attitude and service-oriented mindset
- Typing speed of at least 35 WPM
Experience
- Minimum of 1 year in a customer service or call center environment (preferred but not mandatory)
- Experience in travel, hospitality, or airline industry is an advantage
- Entry-level applicants with strong communication and technical skills are welcome to apply
Working Hours
- Flexible shifts available, including morning, evening, weekends, and holidays
- Full-time (30–40 hours/week) and part-time (20–30 hours/week) positions available
- Applicants must be available to attend a mandatory virtual training period (paid)
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and web-based customer service tools
- Familiarity with airline booking systems (e.g., Sabre, Amadeus) is a plus
- Ability to adapt quickly to changes in policies or procedures
- Strong listening and empathy skills
- Multitasking ability while maintaining attention to detail
