Job Summary


Netflix is seeking detail-oriented and media-savvy individuals to join our global Content Operations team as Metadata Taggers. In this fully remote role, you will watch and analyze movies, series, and other Netflix content to tag key elements such as genre, themes, mood, language, and more. Your input will help improve search, discovery, and recommendation experiences for millions of Netflix users worldwide. Key Responsibilities



  • Watch and analyze Netflix content (films, series, documentaries, etc.) across various languages and genres.

  • Apply standardized tags and metadata to content using internal tools.

  • Identify themes, subgenres, mood, tone, language, and audience appropriateness for each title.

  • Collaborate with the editorial, content, and product teams to maintain metadata accuracy and consistency.

  • Conduct quality assurance checks and flag inconsistencies or anomalies.

  • Stay up-to-date with metadata guidelines and continuously adapt to evolving tagging standards.



Required Skills and Qualifications



  • Strong understanding of film and TV content, including genres, storylines, and pop culture references.

  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Meticulous attention to detail and the ability to work independently.

  • High level of comfort with technology and digital tools.

  • Ability to meet tight deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.

  • Reliable internet connection and a distraction-free remote workspace.



Experience



  • Prior experience in content tagging, editorial, data entry, subtitling, or related roles is a plus.

  • Familiarity with Netflix content or other streaming services is highly desirable.

  • Freshers with strong analytical thinking and a passion for media are welcome to apply.
