Job Summary:
Apple Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mac OS X and Apple Device Administrator to manage, support, and optimize the deployment and operation of Apple hardware and macOS environments within corporate settings. This hybrid role (remote and on-site) requires technical expertise in managing Apple ecosystems at scale, ensuring secure, seamless, and efficient device performance across the organization. You will collaborate closely with IT, security, and end-user support teams to deliver a world-class Apple user experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deploy, configure, and manage macOS devices, iPhones, and iPads across various departments using industry-standard tools such as Jamf, Apple Business Manager, or similar MDM solutions.
- Perform OS installations, updates, patches, and application rollouts while ensuring system stability and security compliance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues related to Apple devices.
- Monitor system performance, perform audits, and implement proactive improvements to increase reliability and usability.
- Enforce device security policies including encryption, endpoint protection, remote wipe, and secure authentication protocols.
- Support onboarding/offboarding processes by managing provisioning, configuration, and deprovisioning of Apple devices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams to integrate Apple environments into broader enterprise infrastructure.
- Maintain documentation of system configurations, processes, and technical troubleshooting guides.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong hands-on experience with macOS, iOS, and Apple ecosystem tools.
- Expertise with Jamf Pro, Apple Business Manager, or other enterprise mobility management (EMM/MDM) platforms.
- Deep understanding of Apple hardware, operating systems, and native applications.
- Familiarity with scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or AppleScript for automation tasks.
- Ability to support and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical users.
- Solid grasp of networking fundamentals, VPNs, and system security principles.
Experience:
- Minimum 3–5 years of IT administration experience, with at least 2 years focused on Apple/macOS environments.
- Experience working in corporate IT, education, or enterprise support settings is highly desirable.
- Proven track record of managing device fleets in hybrid or fully remote organizations.
Working Hours:
- Full-time role: 40 hours per week.
- Flexibility to work in remote and on-site settings, depending on business needs.
- Occasional after-hours or weekend support may be required for updates, rollouts, or critical issue resolution.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- In-depth knowledge of macOS system architecture and lifecycle management.
- Strong problem-solving abilities with a proactive and customer-focused mindset.
- Excellent time management and multitasking capabilities in fast-paced environments.
- Ability to document workflows, update knowledge bases, and train users on device best practices.
- Professional certifications such as Jamf Certified Tech/Admin or Apple Certified Support Professional (ACSP) are a plus.
