Job Summary
UPS is seeking highly detail-oriented and motivated individuals to join our growing virtual team as Data Entry Specialists. In this remote role, you will play a crucial part in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of data across our logistics and operations systems. As a key team member in a fast-paced environment, you will input, review, and update critical information that supports package tracking, delivery scheduling, and customer communications.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately input and update data into internal systems from various sources including scanned documents, emails, and spreadsheets.
- Verify and cross-reference data to ensure consistency and eliminate errors.
- Organize and maintain digital records for easy retrieval and audit compliance.
- Collaborate with internal departments to clarify missing or unclear information.
- Maintain confidentiality of customer and company information at all times.
- Prioritize workload efficiently to meet daily, weekly, and monthly deadlines.
- Generate routine data reports and summaries for management review.
- Identify and escalate data inconsistencies or anomalies.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED); associate or bachelor’s degree is a plus.
- Proficiency in typing (minimum 40 WPM) with excellent accuracy.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (especially Excel and Word).
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote environment.
- Comfortable navigating databases, spreadsheets, and digital communication tools.
Experience
- Prior data entry, administrative support, or clerical experience is preferred.
- Entry-level candidates with strong typing and computer skills are encouraged to apply.
- Experience in logistics, shipping, or transportation sectors is an advantage but not required.
Working Hours
- Flexible work hours available with morning, afternoon, and evening shifts.
- Both full-time (40 hours/week) and part-time options (20–30 hours/week) are available.
- Weekend and holiday availability may be required based on business needs.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to work with high volumes of data without compromising accuracy.
- Capable of multi-tasking and adapting quickly to new systems or processes.
- Dependable with a strong sense of responsibility and integrity.
- Familiarity with cloud storage systems (Google Drive, OneDrive, etc.) is a plus.
- Ability to maintain focus and productivity in a remote work environment.
