As a Member Services Representative at Cigna, a global health service company, you will be the voice of our organization, providing compassionate, professional, and high-quality support to our members. You will handle inbound inquiries related to health insurance plans, benefits, claims, and more—all while working remotely. Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for member inquiries through phone, email, and chat.
- Provide clear and accurate information about insurance benefits, claims status, policy coverage, billing, and other services.
- Resolve issues efficiently, ensuring member satisfaction while complying with company guidelines.
- Document interactions, follow up on pending issues, and escalate complex cases when necessary.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of member information in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
- Educate members about Cigna’s digital tools and resources for self-service.
- Demonstrate empathy and professionalism with every interaction, upholding the Cigna brand.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent (required); Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong listening and problem-solving abilities.
- High attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient with basic computer applications and call center systems.
- Comfortable working independently in a remote setup.
Experience
- 1-2 years of customer service, call center, or healthcare support experience is strongly preferred.
- Previous experience in the health insurance or healthcare industry is a plus.
Working Hours
- Full-time, 40 hours per week.
- Shifts may include daytime, evening, and occasional weekends based on business needs.
