As a Remote Pharmacy Customer Service Representative, you will play a vital role in delivering compassionate and reliable service to our customers. You will serve as a key point of contact, assisting customers with prescription orders, benefits, billing inquiries, and more. Key Responsibilities



  • Provide responsive and accurate information to pharmacy benefit customers via phone, email, or chat.

  • Assist customers with prescription refills, prior authorizations, benefit explanations, and order tracking.

  • Resolve customer concerns related to claims, coverage, copays, and medication delivery.

  • Navigate multiple systems and tools simultaneously while maintaining clear communication and documentation.

  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA and all other relevant healthcare regulations.

  • Collaborate with internal teams including pharmacists, billing, and technical support.

  • Meet or exceed established performance and quality standards.




Required Skills and Qualifications



  • High school diploma or equivalent is required; college degree preferred.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Proficiency with computers and the ability to learn new systems quickly.

  • Ability to remain calm, empathetic, and professional in high-pressure situations.

  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.

  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

  • Must have a quiet, distraction-free workspace with reliable internet access.




Experience



  • Minimum of 1 year of customer service experience required; healthcare or pharmacy experience is a plus.

  • Experience handling high call volumes and working in a metrics-driven environment preferred.

  • Prior remote work experience is advantageous.




Working Hours



  • Flexible scheduling available; includes weekday and occasional weekend shifts.

  • Shifts typically fall between 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM (based on time zone and business needs).

  • Full-time (40 hours/week) and part-time roles available.




Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities



  • Understanding of pharmacy terminology, prescription processes, and insurance plans is a plus.

  • Familiarity with pharmacy systems, CRM tools, and call center software (preferred but not required).

  • Excellent time management skills and ability to work independently.

  • Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and security protocols.
