Job Summary


Fresher Jobs Hub is currently hiring dedicated and hardworking Cattle Farm Workers to join reputable agricultural operations across Canada. This opportunity is LMIA approved, making it ideal for foreign nationals seeking a pathway to permanent residency through the Temporary Foreign Worker Program (TFWP). We are looking for individuals with a passion for animals, willingness to work in outdoor environments, and a strong work ethic. Training will be provided, and visa sponsorship is available for eligible candidates.




Key Responsibilities



  • Assist with daily feeding, watering, and care of cattle

  • Monitor animal health and report any signs of illness or injury

  • Clean and maintain barns, stalls, pens, and farm equipment

  • Operate farm machinery (e.g., tractors, feeders) safely and effectively

  • Assist during calving season; support with births and newborn care

  • Maintain accurate records of livestock health and activity

  • Follow biosecurity and animal welfare protocols

  • Perform general farm maintenance duties as required

  • Support seasonal tasks such as haying, vaccination, and tagging




Required Skills and Qualifications



  • Basic understanding of animal care or strong willingness to learn

  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in all weather conditions

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Strong sense of responsibility, punctuality, and reliability

  • Basic communication skills in English

  • Must be eligible for LMIA-based work permit and visa sponsorship (assistance provided)




Experience



  • No prior farm experience is required

  • Previous work with animals, on farms, or in outdoor labor jobs is an asset

  • Comprehensive training will be provided to all selected candidates




Working Hours



  • Full-Time Position: 40 to 60 hours per week

  • Rotational shifts may include weekends and holidays

  • Overtime may be available during peak seasons




Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities



  • Understanding of animal behavior and signs of distress (will be trained)

  • Safe handling of cattle and use of farm tools/equipment

  • Ability to follow directions, safety rules, and standard operating procedures

  • Awareness of hygiene and safety practices in an agricultural setting

  • Physically fit and capable of lifting heavy items (up to 50 lbs)
