Job Summary


Fresher Jobs Hub is currently seeking reliable and hardworking individuals for the role of Poultry Farm Worker in Canada. The position involves general labor duties related to poultry care and farm operations. Key Responsibilities



  • Feed and water poultry according to schedules.

  • Monitor health and behavior of birds; report abnormalities to supervisors.

  • Clean and disinfect pens, cages, equipment, and work areas.

  • Collect and pack eggs with care and accuracy.

  • Assist in vaccinations and other poultry care procedures.

  • Operate and maintain basic farm machinery and tools.

  • Load and unload supplies and poultry when necessary.

  • Comply with animal welfare, health, and safety standards.



Required Skills and Qualifications



  • No formal education required; High School Diploma or equivalent is a plus.

  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English.

  • Strong attention to detail and observation skills.

  • Willingness to perform physical and repetitive tasks.

  • Ability to work in dusty, humid, and noisy environments.

  • Basic understanding of animal care and farm hygiene practices (preferred but not required).



Experience



  • No prior experience is necessary – training will be provided on the job.

  • Previous work in agriculture, livestock, or manual labor roles is an asset but not mandatory.



Working Hours



  • Full-time position (40 hours/week)

  • Shifts may include early mornings, weekends, and holidays

  • Overtime may be required depending on farm needs



Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities



  • Strong work ethic and dependability.

  • Physical stamina for lifting, standing, and bending for long periods.

  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

  • Comfort working around live animals and handling poultry.
