Job Description

FlySafair is hiring a reliable and organized Warehouse Assistant to support our Logistics and Dispatch Team. This position plays a key role in ensuring that aircraft parts, tools, and consumables are stored, handled, and delivered efficiently across our operational network. Key Responsibilities:



  • Receive, inspect, and record incoming stock (aircraft parts, tools, materials)

  • Store items safely and systematically in designated locations

  • Prepare and dispatch goods for maintenance teams and other departments

  • Maintain accurate inventory records and update stock management systems

  • Assist in regular stock counts and audits

  • Operate forklifts or pallet jacks (if certified)

  • Follow aviation safety and warehouse handling protocols

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse area

  • Coordinate with procurement and maintenance teams to track urgent parts



Minimum Requirements:



  • Education: Matric (Grade 12)

  • Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Excel, email, inventory systems)

  • Good physical condition – ability to lift, move, and pack goods

  • South African citizenship or valid work permit

  • Willingness to work shifts, including weekends and holidays

  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills



Preferred Qualifications:



  • Prior experience in warehouse/logistics (aviation or technical stores a bonus)

  • Valid forklift license (advantageous)

  • Understanding of aircraft parts categorization or aviation stores protocols (preferred but not required)
