Job Summary:


FlySafair is currently seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Dispatch Assistant to join our Aviation Logistics Team. In this role, you will be responsible for the timely and accurate dispatch of aircraft parts, tools, and consumables to maintenance teams and departments within the organization. You will play a key role in maintaining the flow of critical aviation components to ensure aircraft readiness and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Prepare and issue parts, equipment, and consumables for dispatch as per work orders

  • Ensure accurate labeling, packaging, and documentation of outgoing items

  • Coordinate with internal departments such as Maintenance, Engineering, and Procurement

  • Monitor urgent dispatch requests and prioritize accordingly

  • Maintain inventory accuracy through proper tracking and scanning systems

  • Support the warehouse team in organizing and maintaining stock

  • Conduct routine inspections of dispatch items for compliance and quality

  • Uphold aviation safety and handling standards during dispatch activities




Minimum Requirements:



  • Matric (Grade 12) certificate

  • Basic computer knowledge (MS Excel, email, inventory systems)

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays

  • Physically fit – capable of lifting, moving, and organizing packages

  • South African ID or valid work permit




Preferred Skills & Experience:



  • Experience in logistics, dispatch, or aviation warehousing (preferred, not mandatory)

  • Familiarity with aircraft parts or aviation MRO logistics (a plus)

  • Accuracy and attention to detail

  • Valid forklift license (advantageous)
